NETWORK OPERATIONS // PUBLIC HOST KIT

Run your
own world.

Download the server host without an account, open one UDP port, and bring a persistent Craft Logistics world online. A licensed owner signs the running server in before it can appear in the public registry.

SERVER BUILDS

Choose the host platform.

Every archive is produced from the release channel by the same CI pipeline as the player build and carries a SHA-256 checksum. No portal account is required to download it.

INSTALLATION

From archive to reachable host.

The dedicated server is an unattended authoritative runtime. It creates no window or graphics device and can run in a terminal, service manager, virtual machine, or compatible container host.

Extract the package

Keep the executable, launch script, manifest, and hosting notes together in a writable directory. On Linux, restore the executable bits if your archive tool removed them.

chmod +x CraftLogisticsServer start-server.sh

Allow the game port

Permit inbound UDP 28080 in the host firewall. For an internet host behind a router, forward UDP 28080 to the machine. TCP forwarding does not replace the UDP rule.

sudo ufw allow 28080/udp

Start the authoritative host

Use the included script or invoke the executable directly. Change the port in both the command and firewall rule if 28080 is already occupied.

# Linux ./CraftLogisticsServer --bind 0.0.0.0:28080 # Windows PowerShell .\CraftLogisticsServer.exe --bind 0.0.0.0:28080

Connect and verify

From another network, join PUBLIC_HOST:28080. A local-only test can use 127.0.0.1:28080, but that address is never reachable by remote players.

CraftLogistics --join PUBLIC_HOST:28080
IDENTITY + REGISTRY

Publishing belongs to a licensed owner.

The executable registers the server; operators do not create listings in the website. This preserves a direct audit trail from a live endpoint to its owner and license.

01 / DEVICE AUTH

Link in a browser

The server requests a short-lived device code. Open the displayed verification URL on any device, sign in, and approve the server. The server never receives your password.

02 / LICENSE CHECK

Active entitlement

The API validates the owner, verified email, active auditable license, and server:publish OAuth scope before accepting registration.

03 / HEARTBEAT

Live, not manually listed

The server registers its observed public address and sends player/version telemetry every 60 seconds. It disappears from the directory after 120 seconds without a heartbeat.

Security boundary

Downloads are public; operation is accountable. Do not paste an account password, browser access token, or server credential into a config file. OAuth tokens are scoped and renewable; the registry returns a separate server credential that is used only for that server's heartbeats and removal.

PLATFORM STATUS

What runs today.

Distribution follows what the release pipeline can build and test. Unsupported platforms are shown explicitly instead of receiving repackaged binaries that have not been validated.

Linux x86_64AVAILABLEHeadless glibc archive for unattended operation.
Windows x86_64AVAILABLEPortable ZIP; allow the executable through Windows Defender Firewall for private/public networks as appropriate.
macOSCLIENT v0.5The macOS game client is planned for v0.5; a dedicated macOS host is not currently published.
ARM64NOT PUBLISHEDNo native ARM64 artifact is produced by CI yet.
